ACEDC Celebrates New Trade Agreement Between Africa and the Caribbean

The Afri-Caribbean Exchange and Diplomacy Council (ACEDC) is pleased to announce the signing of a new trade agreement between Africa and the Caribbean. The agreement, which was signed on September 26, 2023, is a landmark achievement that will boost trade and investment between the two regions.

The agreement covers a wide range of goods and services, including agricultural products, manufactured goods, and tourism. It also includes provisions to reduce tariffs and other trade barriers.

The ACEDC played a key role in facilitating the negotiations for the new trade agreement. The Council brought together government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders from both regions to discuss the benefits of a trade agreement and to develop a mutually beneficial agreement.

The new trade agreement is expected to have a significant impact on the economies of both Africa and the Caribbean. It is estimated that the agreement will increase trade between the two regions by 50% in the next five years. The agreement is also expected to create new jobs and boost economic growth.

The ACEDC is committed to supporting the implementation of the new trade agreement. The Council will work with governments and businesses in both regions to ensure that the agreement delivers its full benefits.
